I was born in California and grew up in several different states including Hawaii, Georgia, Florida, Oklahoma, North Carolina, & California. I resumed being a Florida resident in 1994 and have lived in Southwest Florida since 1998.
I graduated from Northeastern High School in Elizabeth City, NC in 1991. I was a North Carolina Scholar and a member of the National Honor Society. I attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington from Fall of '91 to Spring of '92 taking core classes with a major in Psychology. In 2003, I chose to return to school to become a massage therapist. I graduated from Heritage Institute in Ft. Myers, FL in October of 2004 at the top of my class. I then passed my National Certification Exam and became licensed by FL-DOH in December on 2004. In 2005, I returned to Heritage Institute and obtained my Associates of Occupational Sciences Degree in Massage Therapy.
I have also attended many Continuing Education courses. In March of 2008 I became a Reiki Master Practitioner. I am committed to learning and enhancing my practice. Feel free to contact me with any questions concerning my credentials.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my son and volunteering at his school. I have been a board member of the PTA and participated in many of their activities and field trips. My son and I have also enjoyed taking Tae Kwon Do classes together as well as volunteering for various charities. I also enjoy keeping a live reef aquarium. I am also involved in the South West Florida Marine Aquarium Society and the Florida State Massage Therapy Association.

Why choose a certified practitioner?
What is the most important reason for insisting on an NCBTMB certified professional?
You are.
Whether you’re visiting a massage therapist or bodyworker for relaxation, rehabilitation or rejuvenation, you deserve to be treated by a practitioner who is both skilled and knowledgeable. And that’s what the NCBTMB credential stands for a commitment to excellence.
To become nationally certified, a practitioner must demonstrate mastery of core skills and knowledge, pass an NCBTMB standardized exam, uphold the organization’s Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics, and take part in continued education.
